Discover your future at Mercy Health in Tiffin

Mercy Health - Tiffin Hospital is excited to offer students the opportunity to Explore the career opportunities in the medical field. The Exploring program:

  • is open to students ages 14-20 (who have completed the 8th grade)
  • welcomes students who attend school or reside in Seneca County
  • enables youth to learn about careers in nursing, EMS, radiology, surgery, physical therapy, and many more

Meetings are:

  • conducted once a month
  • from October to April
  • 5:30pm – 7:00pm

This program provides students with the chance to network with medical professionals and begin discovering the opportunities that exist in the medical field. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to attend and learn with their student.

  • To learn more about this program, attend the Open House on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 5:30 p.m. at Mercy Health - Tiffin Hospital, 45 St. Lawrence Dr., Tiffin OH in the McMullen Conference Center.

Future Meeting Dates and Topics

  • October 15 - EMS and First Responders –Explore ambulances and Life Flight, learning what to do when dealing with someone who is unresponsive.

  • November 19 – Surgery – Ever wonder how Robotics are changing the way surgeons perform procedures? Find out how!

  • December 17  – Radiology – Discover the career opportunities in the Radiology Department. All aspects will be covered including, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Mammography.

  • January 21February 18, March 18, April 15 – Topics TBD and announced at later date

Discover Your Future and fill out the Exploring youth application which can be received from your school guidance counselor, complete with parent signature, then bring it with you to the open house. Applications will also be available at the open house as well. Find the Youth Application HERE.
