Keeping youth safe, while enabling them to grow and develop their character making them prepared for life has been a key element of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) since our founding in 1910.
On Monday, June 17, 6:30 pm at Camp Berry, 11716 Co Rd 40, Findlay, the Boy Scout of America, Black Swamp Area Council will be holding a Community Youth Protection Forum.
Since 1987, the Boy Scouts of America has had an intensive Youth Protection Program in place to reinforce the elements of the Scouting program design to keep youth safe. The BSA program has been on the cutting edge in youth protection and has been replicated by many other youth programs and agencies. Recently the BSA introduced the Cyber Chip Program to help keep youth safe online.
This forum is open to the public (adults) for information about both the BSA’s youth protection program and the Cyber Chip program. This forum will especially be useful for any one that works with youth. The full youth protection training for BSA leaders will also be available. For the full youth protection training please expect a 1 hour and 30-minute breakout.
